RECRUITMENT IN ASSAM RIFLES
Applications should reach by 28 March 2013. 
Applications received after 28 March 2013 will not be entertained.

1.         Assam Rifles recruitment rally  will be held at Kohima (Nagaland) and Shillong (Meghalaya) from 06 May 2013 to 22 May 2013 for enrolment of 147 vacancies                      (male candidates) of Tradesmen  and 24 vacancies of Para Medical Staff from following States for the posts mentioned against each :-
           
(a)    Kohima (Nagaland)   The rally will be conducted for enrolment of candidates belonging to the States for the posts specified against each : 


(b)       RECRUITMENT RALLY AT SHILLONG (MEGHALAYA).  The rally will be conducted for enrolment of candidates belonging to the states for the posts specified against each :-


Note :
(i)         These vacancies are tentative; it may be increased or decreased.

(ii)        The vacancies so notified are subject to variation and the Department has right to make any change in the advertisement or cancel it without assigning any reasons.

(iii)       10% vacancies are reserved for Ex-servicemen in each category which has not been shown separately.

2.         Before applying candidates are advised to go through the detailed instructions contained in this action carefully. This notice is available on the official website of the Assam Rifles   www.assamrifles.gov.in.

3.         Candidate seeking reservation benefits as SC/ST/OBC must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice.  They should be in possession of the certificates in the format prescribed by Government of India in support of their claim at the time of reporting for PST/PET.

4.         CANDIDATE BELONGING TO THE  PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED CATEGORY ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS EXAMINATION.
5.         Only a single application will be entertained.  Candidature in respect of multiple applications will be rejected outright without any notice to such candidates.
                                                                                   
6.         “APPLICATION FOR TRADESMEN RALLY AT  KOHIMA ( NAGALAND) ” or “APPLICATION FOR TRADESMEN RALLY AT SHILLONG (MEGHALAYA) ”  be endorsed on top of the cover under which the application is being submitted.

7.         Applications will be accepted only  by post.

8.         MOBILES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC GADGETS ARE BANNED WITHIN THE PREMISES OF RALLY SITES/TEST CENTRE.
                                                                                                        
9.         Qualitative Requirement
(a) Tradesmen :   The qualitative requirement (QR) for recruitment is class X and to qualify the departmental professional Trade Test of the Trade for which the candidate is seeking enrolment.

 (b) Staff Nurse  :  The qualitative requirement (QR) for recruitment is (i) Matriculation or equivalent (ii) Diploma in Nursing from the recognised Council (iii) Must have working knowledge of Hindi.
(c)  FA and AYA The qualitative requirement (QR) for recruitment is Matriculation or equivalent and qualify the departmental professional Trade Test of the Trade for which the candidate is seeking enrolment.

10.       Age for Tradesmen  .  Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st Aug 2013.  Upper age limit is relaxable  by 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST Candidates.

 11.       Age for Staff Nurse, FA and AYA.     Between 18 to 25 years as on 1st Aug 2013.  Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST Candidates. For widows of ex-servicemen of Assam Rifles personnel, Gen/OBC  up to 35 years and SC/ST up to 40 years of age.   

12.       Calculation of Upper Age Limit for Ex-servicemen.  Actual age minus service plus 3 years should be within the upper age limit of 23/26 and 28 years.

13.       Compassionate Appointments:-            Compassionate Appointment is applicable to a dependent family member of a PBOR/Civ employee who:-
            (a)       is killed in action.
            (b)       dies while in service (including death by suicide).
            (c)        is retired on medical grounds under Rule 2 of the CCS (Medical Examination) Rules             1957 or the corresponding provision the Central Civil Service Regulations before attaining       the age of 55 years.
            (d)       is retired on medical grounds Rule 38 of the CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972 “Invalid             pension may be granted if a Govt servant retires from the service on account of any bodily        or mental infirmity which permanently incapacitates him for the service” or the          corresponding provision the Central Civil Service Regulations before attaining the age of 55      years.
            (e)       is medical boarded out and is unfit for civil employment.

            (f)        In case of Compassionate appointments upto a maximum of the following parameters   of relaxations will be granted:-
